Scrolling through social media, it’s almost impossible to miss the viral Flower Knows makeup brand. With packaging that looks like it belongs in a fairy tale, the products immediately catch your eye. But while the designs are beautiful, the real question is whether the makeup itself is worth the price.
Flower Knows is a Chinese makeup brand that went viral in 2022 and is still booming among online users today, mostly because of its extremely cute and detailed packaging. The products are very princess-like, use soft pastel colors and are visually appealing, especially to teen girls and young women. However, while the makeup itself is high quality, the brand is also extremely expensive and can be hard to obtain.
One of the biggest strengths of Flower Knows is the packaging and design. The products almost look like collectible toys rather than makeup! I currently own the Shell’s Jewel Satin Silk Blush compact, and I can definitely say the packaging is extremely detailed. It looks like a real seashell. The blush color matches my complexion perfectly and lasts a long time, especially when used with primer. Even the blush itself has an intricate design engraved into it. The only downside is that the blush cost about $30, which is a pretty hefty price for one product.
Another standout is the Violet Strawberry Glowy Rococo Lip Gloss. According to customer reviews, the gloss smells good, lasts a decent amount of time and has beautifully designed packaging. One buyer in particular said the gloss has a “perfect amount of sparkle” and feels great on your lips. Compared to the Too Faced Injection Lip Gloss, a competitor product that costs around $30, the Flower Knows gloss is actually cheaper. It costs about $20 while offering similar quality.
However, many Flower Knows products range from $20 to over $90, and full collections can cost up to $1,000, making the brand difficult for many people to afford.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Flower Knows for people who want high-quality makeup with cute and detailed packaging. However, it may not be the best option if you are looking for something affordable.
